Trumpet Stand – Five-Legged Trumpet Stands
A trumpet stand is a peg supported by three or more legs. The bell of the trumpet is placed over the peg and the trumpet stands upright. Usually placed near the trumpeter’s chair, a trumpet stand offers a convenient way to store a trumpet, particularly during breaks or when switching instruments.
A trumpet stand is a convenient and safe way to store your horn during practice, rehearsal, and gigs. However, because the trumpet is placed near the floor, its can be inadvertantly kicked. For this reason, we recommend using a five leg trumpet stand. These are much less likely to tip over, which could cause serious damage. A five-legged trumpet stand is more stable, and the Konig and Meyer (aka K&M) are among the best. If your trumpet case is small, some models fit entirely inside the bell for transporting. The only other negative about trumpet stands is that they may contribute to dents and scratches in the bell.
