This is an ideal new trumpet for 2012 – This is one of the completely re-designed trumpets made after the takeover of Blessing by Powell Flutes and they are quality trumpets completely made in USA.

This New Blessing BTR-1266 in Brass Lacquer is the Student/Intermediate Trumpet that new beginning trumpet players deserve to help them advance through school music programs. This quality made in USA trumpet has been designed with the beginning student in mind with a.460 bore, a new mouthpipe design, and an improved bell all created to enable students to quickly learn to play in tune with a nice rich tone. As they advance the design of the BTR-1266 will assist them to hit those high notes in the upper register and to develop correct intonation. All of this is aided by valves and valve casings made with computer controlled close tolerances and then hand lapped to provide smooth quick crisp valve action free from the sticking valve problems common with imported trumpets. This is a trumpet designed to meet the needs of student trumpet players should they choose to play in the marching band, the concert band, and/or the jazz ensemble.

This trumpet has been designed to meet the needs of the beginning students and help them to advance through the junior high and senior high music programs.

This trumpet is one of the newly upgraded student trumpets (BTR1266 and BTR-1277). As stated by Blessing these trumpets include the medium shaped bell that had previously been reserved for more expensive trumpets and provides the perfect balance of resistance, ease and richness of tone and even scale young students deserve. In addition the leadpipe and tuning slide were redesigned to aid in intonation, slotting and centering.

With these improvements Blessing has developed a trumpet that that will help the beginning students to reach their full potential. Both advanced players and professionals alike are all finding that these trumpet play far better than other trumpets designed for the student marketplace and price range.

This new Blessing Trumpet looks and plays better than the Bach TR300 which sells for about $300 more than the BTR-1266. Both the imported Bach TR500 and Bach TR600 trumpets which sell for $835; are reported to limit advanced students from reaching their potential in the upper register and stepup trumpets are being recommented for advanced students after 2 or 3 years. That will not happen with this trumpet it plays as well in the upper register as the Bach Omega. This is a trumpet that will see your student all the way through high school or college.
