This YTR-2335 Yamaha Bb trumpet, serial number 421143A, has been reconditioned and relacquered. It comes with a good used Yamaha case and a used 7C mouthpiece.  This reconditioned used LA Olds Special trumpet is being offered in polished raw brass. It is serial number 24279.  It is a very nice vintage special Olds Trumpet. The trumpet was in very good shape before reconditioning with only badly worn lacquer, and a few dings that have been removed.

Reconditioning consists of: removal of major dents, resoldering of loose braces, Ultrasonic chemically cleaning inside and out, stripping of old lacquer, buffing and relacquering, cleaning and polishing of valves and valve casing, realigning valves, replacing valve springs, corks and pads, as required, replacing waterkey corks, freeing and greasing all slides, and play testing to ensure valve action is smooth and crisp, and that good tone and correct intonation is obtainable.

All bargain horns are guaranteed to play and function correctly. A used case is provided that may be less than perfect and a used 7C mouthpiece is provided that may be scratched and dented except in the rim and shank area so it will function correctly.  Cases, mouthpieces, and the appearance of the horn are not guranteed, but it is  guaranteed to function and play correctly.

An editoral from the owner of Crone trumpet. Just found out that Blessing is now importing their new trumpets designated BTR-… very disappointing to me.

Bach is already importing the TR500 from Twain and the TR600 from China. And, just a couple of years ago most all trumpet teachers, band directors, and trumpet repairmen were advising everyone not to buy imported trumpets. Many repairmen determined that they could not reliably repair them. I have seen no reason to change this advice. (Continued...)

Crone Trumpet has invested in a Dent Machine and all the special rollers so that we can do a professional job on straightening a crinkled or damage trumpet bell. Usually unless the bell is severely crinkled it can be straightened to its original shape without leaving any marks on the lacquer or silver finish. Our NAPBIRT trained repairman has attended NAPBIRT classes and seminars that included Dent Machine use and special trumper repair techniques. In addition, he has attended a Dent Machine Seminar at the Farree’s Tool plant in Battle Creek, Michigan. Since the Dent Machine uses polished rollers with adjustable pressure, it eliminates the need ro use dent hammers and burnishers so the finish is usually unmarked by the process. However, the lacquer or silver finished is often marked by the dent itself but the lubricated rollers will not add to this damage like a dent hammer or burnisher might.

This Bach trumpet was purchase this month from a music store and it had no dents or damage, only lacquer wear. This trumpet looks good and plays correctly with great tone and intonation.
