 When I play tested this trumpet, I was really pleased with the way it played and how good the valve action was.  The valves are smoother and faster than those on the Bach TR300.  These are much better trumpets than last year’s Blessing trumpets.  This may be the best student/intermediate-level trumpet available period

Both the Sonare Demo and the Bach Omega Demo are included here so that you may compare the sound of the two trumpets. I was impressed with how easy it was to play the Sonare trumpet in the upper register both very loud with little effort and still very easy to play it softly.
I would not recommend a Bach 37 now because the craftsmen from Bach company in Elkhart never returned after the strike.

My business was started in March of 1999 based on the idea that band parents need an alternative to buying new student trumpets that often cost $1000, or more.  We are presently in our 11th year and sell about 100 reconditioned used student trumpet a year.

Many beginning trumpet players quit playing after the first year or switch to other instruments so the lost on reselling a new trumpet can be about half.  By buying used should you need to resell it most of the cost can be recovered.

This reconditioned and Relacquered used Olds Ambassador trumpet It is serial number 552832 made in Fullerton, CA around 1965-1966.  It is an older Bb trumpet which is preferred by many trumpet players.

Reconditionng is a practical approach to providing a student trumpet that looks good and plays correctly. It is not a restoration of the trumpet to a “like new’ condition.

A like new restoration takes about 3 times the labor and time and according to the prices listed on the internet the cost is $450 or more.

So by taking a more economical approach, we can offer Student Trumpets that look good (but not like new) and play correctly at prices less than the cost of a “like new” restoration that is not practical for student trumpets.

Crone Trumpet has invested in a Dent Machine and all the special rollers so that we can do a professional job on straightening a crinkled or damage trumpet bell.

Unless the bell is severely crinkled it can usually be straightened to its original shape without leaving any marks on the lacquer or silver finish.

Our NAPBIRT trained repairman has attended NAPBIRT classes and seminars that included Dent Machine use and special trumpet repair techniques.

In addition, he has attended a Dent Machine Seminar at the Farree’s Tool plant in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Since the Dent Machine uses polished rollers with adjustable pressure, it eliminates the need ro use dent hammers and burnishers so the finish is usually unmarked by the process. However, the lacquer or silver finished is often marked by the dent itself but the lubricated rollers will not add to this damage like a dent hammer or burnisher might.

We recommend that your trumpet be ultrasonic cleaned using a chemical bath especially formulated to remove corrosion, mineral scale, and other foreign matter from the inside of a trumpet or cornet.

The bargain horns listed on the ‘bargain-trumpets-for-sale’ page are used trumpets and/or cornets that have not been relacquered and may contain some lacquer wear and dings, scratches, or finish blemishes that have not been fixed.  However, they have all been chemically cleaned in an ultrasonic bath, major dents have been removed, tuning slides have been freed and valve alignment has been checked and new felts installed.

Valve Oil for Trumpets

Valve oil is a necessary part of daily trumpet maintenance. The valves of a trumpet have very close tolerances which requires lubrication to cushion metal-to-metal contact, prevent wear, and prohibit corrosion. This trumpet has been sold!.

This reconditioned used Bach Omega Trumpet, serial number 549864 although used it is in excellent condition, its silver finish is is very good with only a couple of scratches, and it plays like a Bach Stradivarius with smoth, crisp, fast valve action.
