Olds Ambassadors, made by F.E. Olds and Sons, are a great student trumpet. However, beware of just any Olds Ambassador. Some serial numbers are more collectible than others, so check out Alan Rouse’s excellent website and his list of olds ambassador serial numbers.
Even if you have found one that is considered desireable, its difficult to make an intelligent purchase without knowing something about trumpets in general, and Olds Ambassadors in particular.

This used TR200 trumpet with a good silver finish that has shown some signs of use with some worn places on the valve casing. Because of the worn finish, this is a chance to own a step-up trumpet at a very reasonable price.

My business was started in March of 1999 based on the idea that band parents need an alternative to buying new student trumpets often cost $1000, or more. We are presently in our 8th year and sell about 100 reconditioned used student trumpet a year.
Many beginning trumpet players quit playing after the first year or switch to other instruments so the lost on reselling a new trumpet can be about half. By buying used should you need to resell it most of the cost can be recovered.

All our reconditioned trumpets are ultrasonically cleaned with chemicals that are especially designed to clean and sanitize band instruments. We then stripped off the old lacquer, remove all dents, buff the trumpet to a shiny mirror finish and relacquer it with baked on clear epoxy lacquer (the same as that used by the USA trumpet manufacturers).
