Robert Culp in Demon with a Glass Hand

Robert Culp died this week in California near his home. He apparently fell while taking a morning walk. He was 79.

I remember this was one of my favorite Outer Limits shows. Its entitled, “Demon with a Glass Hand”. The screenplay was written by Harlan Ellison. Whether its Harlan Ellison’s great story-telling, or Robert Culp’s great acting, or a combination, it doesn’t matter. This is great science-fiction.

BTW, Harlan Ellison thought James Cameron’s film The Terminator borrowed ideas from “Demon with a Glass Hand” and “Soldier”, both done for the “Outer Limits” TV show. He sued and the matter was settled out of court for an undisclosed sum.
