This is the trailer for a 1950 movie starring Kirk Douglas. Its a fictionalized account of the life of Bix Beiderbecke. Curiously, Bix Beiderbecke played a cornet, not a trumpet. Alcoholism contribued to his early death at the age of 28. Kirk Douglas’s trumpet parts were dubbed by Harry James. The movie also starred Lauren Bacall and Doris Day, and the soundtrack is available on Amazon.
