Blessing Trumpets
It is surprising to me that there are so many people that do not know that Blessing is a major trumpet manufacturer that has been making quality trumpets for over 100 years. In year 2007 E K Blessing Company celebrated its 100th Anniversary.
What do Blessing Student Level Trumpets Offer the Beginning Trumpet Player?
• Crisp Smooth Valve Action and well built valve casings with well controlled tolerances. Better than Yamaha, Holton, King, Bach TR500, and Bach TR600 and about the same as a Bach TR300. Today the student trumpets made in the USA develop fewer valve problems than those imported.
• Sturdier Bracing. A common problem with beginning and marching band students is that the trumpet is often stressed greater than that experienced by the profession concert trumpet player. As a result, student band members often experience loose or broken braces that hold the mouthpipe and/or bell assembly. In 2002. Blessing addressed this problem and went to sturdier braces so this is not a problem on Blessing Trumpets made after 2002.
• Good Tone and Intonation. Tone and Intonation improve with practice and experience; however, it is important that a beginner start on an instrument that will allow him/her to develop rapidly and not be held back by a trumpet that requires more than normal effort to obtain good tone and correct intonation. Students playing poor quality imported trumpets are often discourage because it takes more than normal effort to play them correctly.
• Better Looking Trumpet. The Blessing Trumpets B125, B126, B127 are all very attractive brass trumpets trimmed with german silver (silver brass). Although this makes the trumpet very pretty, it also has a practical purpose as tuning slides tend to stick less when dissimilar metals are used.
• Easy To Repair. Blessing trumpets are made of quality brass and are easy to repair. Solder repairs are easier to make on quality brass and dents can be removed without leaving marks. Parts are readily available from the Blessing plant in Elkhart Indiana.
• More Quality for the Price. Blessing Trumpets remain reasonably priced and hold their value so you often get a better trumpet at a lower cost.

Blessing musical instruments have come to symbolize a value that is unparalleled in the world music scene. Handcrafted quality, priced favorably for any budget — a winning combination! Experience the world of Blessing for yourself! Value doesn’t simply mean great prices, Value also implies the production of consistently reliable musical instruments, both from a performance and aesthetic perspective. We remain true to our Elkhart, Indiana, heritage of handcrafted brasswinds and flutes. From student, intermediate, and professional quality brasswinds and woodwinds, to marching and background brasses, our product offering will delight you.
We continue to make improvements to our trumpet line. 2002 saw a variety of structural changes, including sturdier braces, new red brass mouthpipes, redesigned receivers, upgraded third slide finger ring holders and screws, and new look slide pull knobs. 2003 focused more on pistons and valve casings. To say this department has been restructured would be an understatement. CNC lathes now turn out trumpet, cornet, and fiuegelhom pistons and valves according to the most exacting specifications and tolerances. Top and bottom valve caps sport a new look, and now feature a thread design that allows for easy on and off application. Confidence comes from a great piston and valve assembly, and we’re brimming with it!
Today at Blessing we are employing 100 craftsmen, who take a great deal of pride in the products that they manufacture. In fact, our workforce is really one big corporate family. Blessing workers are producing in three manufacturing buildings on West Beardsley Avenue, on Elkhart’s northwest side.
Our main factory building houses our soldering department, machine shop, buffing room, final assembly department, shipping and receiving and also our corporate offices. Next door, in plant 2, our bell making department is in full operation. Down the street we have our recently relocated flute operation. Yes, we also make flutes, along with the complete line of brasswind musical instruments that we offer. In coming months we will feature actual manufacturing operations on our web page. It’s truly amazing what we do to brass, nickel silver, and other metals. rve been around this business all my life, and rm still in awe of just how much skill our workers exhibit when they spin, form, polish, solder, mill, strap, hone, bend, engrave, lacquer, and on and on…
Being a closely held company has its advantages. We aren’t burdened with ownership that has interests other than the music industry. Consequently we’re able to focus on bringing products to market that offer exceptional value. Our Elkhart quality, when combined with an extremely favorable pricing structure, makes for a winning combination. I played trumpet through high school, and definitely feel that instrumental music is a vital part of today’s education scene. Our aim is to provide products that enhance a student’s ability to succeed in school music. And, this experience is made all the better if their instrument is price friendly.
Blessing is proud to be a part of the Elkhart manufacturing environment. Elkhart has long been considered the band instrument capital of the world, and Blessing would be Elkhart’s oldest family owned musical instrument company. I guess you could say we’re the best kept secret in the music industry. We strive to take care of our customers without a lot of fanfare. Friends of our company like the style in which we do business. It’s honest and straightforward This is especially refreshing in today’s fast paced business world
